  Polio vaccination campaign will continue till March 9 in Pune Municipal Corporation jurisdiction

 Pune – (The Karbhari News Service) – PMC Polio Vaccine Schedule |  National Pulse Polio Vaccination Campaign 2024 (National Pulse Polio Vaccination 2024) In the first round, the Pulse Polio Vaccination Campaign 2024 for children aged 0 to 5 will be implemented from March 3 to March 9, 2024 in Pune Municipal Corporation area.  This information was given on behalf of Municipal Health Department.  (PMC Health Department)
 On the occasion of National Pulse Polio Day on Sunday, March 3, 2024, the aim was to administer polio doses to around 2,98,784 children in the age group of 5 through 1,362 polio booths in the Pune Municipal Corporation area.  15 head supervisors, 313 supervisors, 1912 teams are working in this campaign and all the assistant health officers and health officers will be under the supervision of the headquarters level.  54 clinics, 19 maternity homes and 29 new H.  Construction of booths under WC as well as brick kilns in migrant settlements
 Booths were set up at busy places, high-risk areas, transit teams were working at bus stations, ST stations, metro stations, railway stations, airports, parks to administer polio vaccine to children on the way.
 During the period 4 March 2024 to 9 March 2024 (excluding the holiday of Mahashivratri on 8 March 2024), 10,35,335 households were visited under the IPPI campaign.
 It will be ensured that the dose is administered at the booth.
 Advance preparations were made for the campaign under the guidance of Vikram Kumar, Municipal Commissioner.  Pune Municipal Pulse Polio Campaign was inaugurated on Sunday 3rd March 2024 by Additional Municipal Commissioner Mr. Ravindra Binwade.  On this occasion, children present at Kai Kalawatibai Mawle Dawakhana, 283, Narayan Peth Pune 30 were given polio doses in a representative form by Hon.
 On this occasion May  Assistant Director of Health Services and Deputy State Immunization Officer from the State Government Mr. Dr.  Praveen Vedpathak, Pune Municipal Corporation Health Officer Dr.  Bhagwan Pawar Deputy Health Officer Dr.  Kalpana Baliwant, Assistant Health Officer Dr.  Dr. Sanjeev Vavre, Assistant Health Officer and Immunization Officer.  Dr. Rajesh Dighe, Assistant Health Officer.  Surykant Deokar
 , City Tuberculosis Officer Dr.  Prashant Bothe, World Health Organization Surveillance Medical Officer Dr. Chetan Khade, Regional Medical Officer Dr. Gopal Ujwankar, Medical Officer Dr.  Ganesh Jagdale and Dr.  Pradeep Pawar, all staff of Immunization Department
 were present.
 After the inauguration meeting, the above mentioned Health Officer visited various clinics, slum transit booths under the jurisdiction of Pune Municipal Corporation and supervised the work going on under the campaign and gave instructions to the concerned.  Health Officer Hon.  Shri Bhagwan Pawar gave instructions to try to achieve 95 percent target on booth day.
