Pune Airport’s new integrated terminal building inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi online

 The Karbhari News Service– The new integrated terminal building of Pune Airport at Lohgaon was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi through CCTV.  Prime Minister Shri.Modi said that this new terminal will make air travel easier and more comfortable for the common man of the country.
 The program was attended by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde at Kolhapur and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Cooperation Minister Dilip Valse Patil and Higher and Technical Education Minister Chandrakantada Patil at Pune Airport.
 Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Fadnavis thanked the central government for creating a grand and modern terminal befitting the city of Pune, which gives a feel of the culture of Pune city and said, Pune is an important city.  Pune district is the manufacturing and IT hub of Maharashtra.  Many citizens come to Pune from home and abroad.  The old terminal was inadequate to accommodate such a large number of passengers.  A request to the Ministry of Defense made available space for a new building and thus the grand terminal stood.
 A grand statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the inspiration of Maharashtra, has been erected outside the building.  Sri Vitthala’s mural, Warli art, country game Mallakhamba etc. are seen in this building.  The atmosphere in the building suits our local culture.  Local products can be sold at the airport.  You have got a perfect terminal.  Kolhapur also has a terminal that befits the Maratha Empire.  Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Fadnavis also said that the state government is trying to create a network of airports by developing airport runways in Maharashtra as well.

 Since Pune is the center of the Air Force, the runway here has to be closed often.  Therefore, keeping in mind the need for expansion of aviation services, a new airport will be constructed at Purandar in Pune district.  Land acquisition will be started soon.  An airport and cargo center will be set up at Purandar where industries can develop new supply chains and boost employment.  Mr. Fadnavis expressed his belief that considering the growing expansion of Pune, this airport is necessary and it will increase the GDP of Pune by 2 percent.
 The aviation sector has taken a big leap under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.  The number of airports in the country has doubled in the last ten years.  Air transport is being made available for the common man under the ‘Udan’ scheme.  These airports are benefiting industries and increasing employment opportunities.  Mr. Fadnavis also said that due to the expansion of communication services, industries are also being boosted.

 Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Pawar said, the inauguration and Bhumi Pujan of 14 airport projects costing 10 thousand crores of rupees are being done by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the same time.  Pune residents have been demanding a terminal befitting the name of Pune for a long time.  Mr. Girish Bapat also followed up with the central government for the location of the new terminal building.  It is a terminal with a capacity of 1000 cars, 34 check-in counters, and an annual passenger capacity of 90 lakhs.
 A grand equestrian statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj has been erected in the area.  Instructions have been given to start the facilities of the new terminal in April.  Along with constructing a new airport in Pune district, it is being considered to extend the existing runway.  Due to the visionary Prime Minister, such radical changes are taking place in the country.  Mr. Pawar also said that Vande Bharat Railway, New Airport etc. are being completed.
 Dr.  H.  Srinivas in the introduction gave information about the facilities in the new integrated terminal building of Pune Airport.  Modern facilities are being provided to Indian airports.  Local culture is being showcased at the airport.  He said that the area of ​​the integrated terminal building of Pune airport is 52 thousand square meters and it has a capacity of 3 thousand passengers during peak hours.
