He further said that the Congress party proposed the idea of Pune Metro in the year 2001 and followed it up and got it approved by the central government in the year 2013. During the BJP rule in 2015, the Prime Minister did the Bhumi Poojan of Pune Metro in a big event. After that, the Prime Minister continued to inaugurate sections of metro lines of 5 to 6 km. Instead of inaugurating the entire Metro, Prime Minister Narendra Modi started the Pune Metro piecemeal by holding an event every 5-6 km. In fact, when every 5-6 km road was completed, the fact that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would come to Pune and inaugurate it had become a joke in the eyes of the people of Pune. However, BJP, which has a policy of ‘teachbhar work and heaps of publicity’, had to call Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the inauguration of Pune Metro units 3 times, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi even came!
