 |  Aditya Thackeray’s allegation

Aditya Thackeray visited Vetal Tekadi  | Aditya Thackeray visited Vetal Tekadi, known as ‘Mini Sahyadri’ in Pune today.  In the name of development, the Pune Municipal Corporation has laid the foundation of sacrificing this hill, which is rich in biodiversity.  Aditya Thackeray made this allegation at this time.  Thackeray assured that the locals as well as environmental organizations are against this and we will definitely look into this matter and try to save the hill.  (Aditya Thackeray visited Vetal Tekadi)
Misleading citizens in river improvement project – Thackeray
Thackeray said, be it Vetal hill or river front development project, the development is going on due to the river front development project.  Sustainable development is essential.  Increased urbanization does not mean building any roads, mobility planning should be done and the right decision should be taken, there are parks and gardens in urbanized cities all over the world.  I inquired about the Vetal hill and river bank improvement project going on in Pune.  Currently, there is a dictatorship against the people.  If someone speaks the truth, he is criticized as an activist.  In fact, any riverbank improvement project that is underway should be aware that not all rivers are the same.  First the river should be cleaned, then beautification should be seen.  Whatever the outside consultants advise and expect about the city, local people should understand about it.  They know more there.  There is a discrepancy between the information received by the Right to Information and the information received by political leaders.  While taking permission for the project, it was said that the trees will not be cut.  But later it was said that seven thousand trees would be cut.  This is misleading.  (PMC Pune)
