Deputy Commissioner Madhav Jagtap has been given the responsibility of property Tax Department of Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC).  Jagtap has recently assumed additional charge.  After that, Jagtap has started work immediately.  A crackdown on property tax defaulters will be launched from tomorrow.  Madhav Jagtap has issued orders in this regard.

 Taxation and tax collection department is an important source of income in Pune Municipal Corporation.

 In line with the achievement of the target given to the Department for the financial year 2023-24, the Taxation and Tax Collection Office has undertaken a drive to recover arrears, confiscate income and levy.  The department has been given a recovery target of 2400 crores.

 According to this, an intense campaign to confiscate the outstanding income of the income holders of the Pune Municipal Corporation who have not yet paid the income tax will be started from February 22.

 Accordingly, circle wise teams have been formed in Pune Municipal Corporation area.  on all government holidays and every Saturday to facilitate income tax payment for citizens

 Civic Facility Centers from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and on Sundays from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm  have been continued.

 Although the civic facilities will continue to function, citizens will mostly use the online system  pro tax payment is appealed through the website “propertytax.punecorporation.org”.
