PMRDA will take legal Action against Unauthorized hoardings under the jurisdiction |  Hoarding policy of PMRDA announced

PMRDA Hoarding Policy |  Till date there was no policy or regulation for erecting hoardings in PMRDA areas.  Therefore, thousands of illegal hoardings have been erected by the concerned.  No one is allowed to do that.  Many of these hoardings are causing accidents due to lack of structural stability… As a result some citizens have lost their lives in recent times.  But it was becoming difficult to take action against them according to the legal provisions.  Now according to this policy the way to take legal action against them will be clear.  This information was given by Public Relations Officer Ramdas Jagtap.  (PMRDA Hoarding Policy)
Legal notices will now be issued to those who have erected such unauthorized hoardings and action will be taken to demolish the hoardings of those applicants who do not apply to regularize their hoardings.  Those who apply for regularization will be regularized by charging a compromise fee double the development fee.  (PMRDA Pune)
Certificate of Structural Engineer has been made compulsory every 2 years.  Similarly, it has been made mandatory to write the approval number, date and validity period on each hoarding so that the general public as well as the authorities can immediately know that the hoarding erected is official.  Moreover, the QR code on the approval order has also been made mandatory to be printed on the hoarding in a prominent manner, so that the genuineness of the approval can be checked by the common man in the policy.  (PMRDA Policy)
Now PMRDA has created a separate cell to issue these permits on fast track.  Software for online approval will be developed soon.  PMRDA will charge Rs 70 per sq ft per annum for hoardings facing national and state highways, major district roads, Rs 60 per sq ft per annum for land up to 10 km from Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad municipal limits and Rs 50 per sq ft per annum for remaining PMRDA areas.  Advertising fee will be charged as per foot per annum.  Apart from that, development fee will be charged for the land below the hoarding.  (Pune Hoarding)
