| Meetings started with District Disaster Management Authority

Sonune said that flood situation occurs in Pune city during monsoon. Because Mula and Mutha rivers flow through the center of the city. Also, there is a chain of dams in the Khadakwasla project close to the city. Therefore, it is necessary to prepare the disaster management system as soon as the monsoon starts. Accordingly, the municipality is ready for this work. Meanwhile, the Municipal Corporation meetings are also going on with the District Disaster Management Authority. In it, the Collector had suggested that coordination should be maintained with all the departments of the city. Accordingly, the municipality is coordinating with all departments.

| Notification to Pune Metro from Municipal Corporation

Meanwhile, works are going on from Pune Metro at various places in the city. These works are going on in some places in the river bed. At some places, the pillars of the metro become an obstacle for the drainage of water. In this regard, Sonune said that after holding a meeting with the Metro officials, we have advised them and appealed to them to cooperate. Accordingly, Metro has also given a positive response.

Training of 2000 employees from December to March

Ganesh Sonune said that three types of disasters are mainly faced in Pune city. These include floods, road accidents and fires. Therefore, disaster training has been given to more than 2 thousand employees of the Municipal Corporation from December to March to solve these problems. The civil security forces cooperated in this. Training was given mainly on how to deal with disaster in the city, how to handle search and rescue operations, what to do and what not to do in case of disaster, how to protect public properties.

| SOP work in final stage

Ganesh Sonune further said that the work of preparing a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) is going on keeping in mind all the instructions regarding disaster management. After the preparation of the SOP, these regulations will be given to all the zonal offices of the Municipal Corporation will go
