Pension (PMC Retired Employees Pension) is given to the eligible retired servants of the Municipal Corporation.  Some retired servants die, yet do not get pension.  Because of this, the heirs of the servants have to suffer.  There were complaints about this.  Also nearly 1000 cases were pending.  Earlier, various departments were advised to settle the pending pension cases in time.  But the pension cases were still pending.  Complaints were being received that retired servants/ heirs of deceased servants were being inconvenienced as account heads, pay slips/pension clerks were not taking serious note of this.  The additional commissioner also warned of action against the head of account and Bill Clark.  Accordingly, all departments have started working.  (Pune Municipal Corporation)
