2300 crore revenue to Pune Municipal Corporation from Building Permission development Charges

PMC Building Development Permissions – (The Karbhari News Service) – Pune Municipal Corporation has received a revenue of around 2300 crores from building development fee (Pune Municipal Corporation Building Permission Department). This revenue has been received from 1 April 2023 to 28 March 2024. For the first time in the history of the Municipal Corporation, the PMC Development Charges have reached this level. Because the PMC Property Tax Department has also been overtaken by the Construction Department. 2273 crore has been received by the Income Tax Department. Therefore, the construction and development fee has become the largest source of income for the municipality. It is considered so. (Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC)

As many as 1773 new construction works have been given permission by the construction department during this year. Income tax was considered to be the only main source of income. However, this is the first time that the construction development department has reached the milestone of record income.

Land development charges, construction development charges and various premium charges, etc. under approval of construction development proposals within Pune Municipal Corporation limits. Fees are collected. The amount collected for land development fee and construction development fee is collected for the government. Also additional mat area, Pune Infrastructure Fund, special buildings, e.g. I.T. Building, T. O. D. Buildings in the area etc. F. to be submitted for similar proposal. S. i. 50:50 or as mentioned in the rules, the fees are deposited with the Govt.

2023-24 – 2300 crores (end of March 28)
