500 crore provision for democratic empowerment| Union budget announced

In India, people have limited access to democratic decision-making processes, their participation is minimal and people distrust the governance system. Hence, the democratic decision-making process is deteriorating day by day. It has been announced in the Union Budget that a provision of 500 crores is required in the Union Budget for the promotion of democratic values.

Center for Holistic Human Development and Research announced the Union Budget for 2024-25 at SM Joshi Auditorium. This public budget was published by Marxist leader Ajit Abhyankar, head of the center Vishweshwar Raste, and social activist Vishal Vimal. On this occasion, Swapna Alluri, Shiwangi Bageshwari, Utkarsh Pande, Pramod Dahule, Jayashri Patil, Neha Madhavi, and Vijaya Lakshmi presented the provisions of the Public Budget.

India’s global rank in democratic decision-making is declining. For overall development of the country, it is necessary to implement a democratic decision-making process with suggestions, opinions, and participation of the people. 1 crore of MP fund should be spent for the promotion of democratic values. It is necessary to create public awareness among the people about the democratic decision-making process, to know the suggestions of the people, and to encourage the people, provision has been made in the public budget.

There is a need for well-planned management of cities to curb the uncontrolled growth of cities. 73rd and 74th constitutional amendments should be effectively implemented. India invests only one percent if compared to the global tourism industry. The development of the tourism business will generate employment and economic prosperity by increasing investment. We need to create awareness of food literacy. overconsumption and malnutrition are major problems in India. Quality and regular electricity should be provided to every household and free electricity should be provided to the poor. Cold storage and processing industries are essential to increase the shelf life of perishable agricultural products. The farmers will get a stable price from it and other provisions have been made in the public budget.

The government system should increase its capacity to solve the people’s problems. Ajit Abhyankar expressed the opinion that a plan of action should be proposed and implemented strictly for the people. About 23 crore people in the country are living in poverty and providing employment and education to them will eradicate poverty in five years. Vishweshwar Raste expressed that 2 percent of the Union Budget is needed to eradicate the poverty of 20 percent of the people. Special provisions have been made in this public budget for democratic empowerment, poverty eradication, employment growth, well-planned urbanization, tourism development, skill development, food literacy, quality and sufficient electricity, girl child education, and sustainability of perishable agricultural products. Vishal Vimal stated that a copy of the public budget will be sent to the Prime Minister and Finance Minister.
