 The birth rate of girls is calculated only after the birth of 1000 boys.  Sex ratio is determined from the data of female births available from PMC Pune or any city, district.  Births of boys and girls are registered daily with the birth department.  This amount is calculated based on the information collected from it.  Pune city and municipality ranked highest in the state in terms of gender ratio.  The Municipal Corporation was also appreciated by the State Government in this regard.  This amount was increased by implementing various remedial schemes and public awareness by the Municipal Corporation.  However, from 2021 onwards, this ratio has dropped considerably.  The question is now being asked why Pune, which has taken the lead in welcoming girls, is lagging behind.  Meanwhile, it is said that the municipality has failed to raise public awareness and take action against the gender testing hospital.  Because the officer was transferred from the health department.  The work in this regard was withdrawn from the officer who was doing good work.  It took time for the new officers to understand the nature of work.  So no action could be taken.  (Pune Municipal Corporation Health Department)

 Meanwhile, the birth rate of girls in Pune city was 879 in 2010.  In 2011, the number of female births was 884.  In 2012 and 2013, the number was 934 and 933 respectively.  In 2014, it increased slightly to 937, while in 2015, the number dropped to 925.  After that, in 2019, 922 and in 2020, this number came up to 946.  But in 2021, there was a lot of decline.  The proportion of girls was only 900 for every 1000 boys.  So in the year 2022, this ratio has improved slightly to 910.  After that, it is seen that the number is less in the year 2023 as well.  From 910 this ratio is found to be 890.  That means we have gone backwards like 2010.
