Milind Ekbote said, profiteering is being done by approving the privatization of slaughterhouses. This is a violation of the Municipal Corporation Rules, 1989. The number of animals in western Maharashtra is less than before. The slaughterhouse is going to make him suffer even more. This will affect products like milk. Corporator Praveen Chorbele said that according to the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act 1960 and the Maharashtra Animal Protection Act 1976, the municipal corporation should work considering the convenience and behavior of the citizens. Although this resolution was tabled in 2008, this resolution has been brought again and Pune city is a city of learning and culture and should not be turned into a slaughterhouse city and thousands of dumb animals are going to be slaughtered in this place because this slaughterhouse will be funded from outside. .
So don’t spoil Pune’s culture and environment. Promotion of beef sale, business and export is not a matter under municipal jurisdiction and privatization is illegal.
