 PMC Property Tax Department is planning to auction 200 sealed commercial properties

 Pune PMC Property Tax |   Pune Municipal Corporation’s Income Tax Department (PMC Property tax Department) has emphasized on tax collection.  Due to various reasons Punekars are apathetic about paying taxes.  Therefore measures are being taken for recovery.  As part of this, commercial properties are being sealed.  200 of them will be auctioned.  The planning of the property tax department has been prepared in this regard.  This information was given by Deputy Commissioner Ajit Deshmukh.  (Pune PMC Property Tax)
 The property tax collection department of the Municipal Corporation has received an income of more than 1400 crores in the current financial year.  However, the department is facing many difficulties in fulfilling the target given by the Municipal Commissioner.  Because the citizens of the involved villages are reluctant to pay income tax.  Also business income holders do not pay tax.  The head of the department has given orders to the department for maximum recovery.  Divisional Inspectors (DI) and Peth Inspectors (SI) have also been provided staff for this.  Accordingly, it has been ordered to make at least 50 commercial properties every day.  15-17 properties are being sealed every day.  Also, the head of the department has ordered the builder to fill the occupation letter as soon as possible.  (Pune Property tax).
 Deshmukh said that in the meantime, the property Tax Department is now going to auction these sealed properties.  Earlier, the pune Municipal Corporation had conducted an auction in Katraj area.  From that, the municipal corporation got more than 4 crores of income.  Accordingly, the municipality is going to auction 200 out of the sealed properties.  It is planned.  Training in this regard has also been given to all inspectors.  Deshmukh gave this information.

 – Such will be the auction process

 – Issuance of Warrant
 – Issuance of forfeiture notice if the amount is not deposited within 7 days.  Allow 21 days for this.
 – If the amount is not paid thereafter, assessment of property by Construction and Property Management Department for auction process.
 – After this process to auction the proceeds and take the approval of the Municipal Commissioner to issue a public notice in the newspaper.
 – Candidates participating in the auction process will have to deposit 10% earnest money of the income assessment amount to the Municipal Corporation through online mode.
