 According to Velankar’s statement, we read that the engineers of the road department conducted a walking survey of the roads (PMC Road Department Walking Survey).  It also read that the PMC will repair the speed breakers which are not as per the classical standards.  In fact all unscientific speed breakers must be removed in compliance with the 2005 order of the High Court.  According to us today in the entire city of Pune there is not a single speed breaker as per classical standards.  So our public challenge to road department is to show speed breakers as per standard in Pune city, we are offering a reward of Rs.100 for each such speed breaker.  (Pune PMC News)

 Velankar has further said that, in fact, the survey conducted by the engineers should be published on the municipal website immediately.  So that citizens can also verify its authenticity.  Also, steps should be taken to immediately remove all unscientific speed breakers in Pune to respect the order of the High Court.  Moreover, care should be taken that no speed breaker is constructed in an unscientific manner in the city.  It should also be ensured that the permission of the traffic police is required while constructing every speed breaker as per rules.  Velankar has also made such a demand.
