PMC Property tax department |  In the Property Tax Department of Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC Pune Property tax Department), some software engineers are being hired on lump sum salary.  Various works are done by them.  Despite this, these employees have not been paid since May.  This is attributed to the apathy of the Information and Technology Department (PMC IT Department).  Meanwhile, the tax department through the commissioner submitted a proposal before the PMC Standing Committee and demanded to pay 75 lakhs for salary.  The committee recently approved the proposal.  (Pune Municipal Corporation)

 Among the various financial sources of Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC Pune), property tax is a very important source.  Software Development of Income Tax Computer System at various levels as required by Taxation and Collection Department, integration of software with various departments, completion of computer system maintenance and repair works in prescribed time and accurately, etc.  Various tasks are performed by single salaried servants.

 Various types of schemes, payments, notices, penalties, deposits and arrears, GIS etc. are available to the income earners from the levied and newly included villages under the jurisdiction of Pune city.  Various types of work are done.  The Taxation and Collection Department does not have technical knowledge staff available.  Also, the information and technology department has been requested from time to time for scheduled servants.  Department of Information and Technology has vacancies for Scheduled Posts of Programmers and Servants having special technical qualification related to Databases and some posts are not covered.  At present, the Department of Information and Technology does not have any scheduled posts of Programmers and Databases having special qualifications as above.  Also, it is very necessary to develop a software system in the work and to speed up the work in terms of computerization in terms of increasing the income of the taxation and tax collection department.  Computer Engineers are hired to carry out the computer work of the Taxation and Tax Collection Department on a lump sum salary of 6 months.  But the term of these people expired on 01.05.2023 for six months.  09 Computer Engineers working from 15.05.2023 working day and night with the strength of their experience and skills, within the time limit set by the Commissioner during the period 2023-  24 Payments have been processed.  It is a fact that income tax payers should be able to pay income tax through various modes (online, cash, cheque, etc.) and computer engineers on uniform salary play a valuable and important role in keeping the department’s computer system running smoothly.  Tenure of currently employed Computer Engineers on Fixed Pay Dt.  As it ended on 01.05.2023, the said 9 Computer Engineers have not been paid till now from the month of May even though they are finally working today.  (PMC Pune News)

 In fact, since 2013, the salaries of selected engineers were being made available every month on the budget of the Department of Information and Technology.  But the Information and Technology Department has shown its inability to spend the bills from the available budget code in the year 2023-24.  of Computer Engineers under the budgetary heading in 2023-24 to the Office of Taxation and Revenue Collection

 There was no separate provision for payment of wages.  Due to this, the payment of wages was delayed.  Finally, the department took the approval of the commissioner and put the proposal before the standing committee to pay 75 lakhs for salary.  The committee has approved it recently.  (Pune Municipal Corporation)
