Big decision of Pune Municipal Corporation!  |  4% DA applicable to employees from July 1

 Dearness Allowance to PMC Pune Employees : There is good news for Pune Municipal Employees.  The 4 percent increase in Dearness allowance (DA Hike) has been implemented from July 1.  The circular in this regard has been issued by Ulka Kalaskar, Chief Finance and Accounts Officer of the Pune Municipal Corporation.  This allowance will be given from the salary of four months difference November paid in December.  Retired employees will be given 5 months difference from December paid in January pension.  (DA Hike Circular)
 After the central government gave increased dearness allowance to its employees, the Shinde-Fadnavis government in the state has taken a big decision to increase the dearness allowance by 4 percent for the state government employees.  The hike has also been implemented from 1st July 2023.  Due to this, there is an atmosphere of happiness among the state government employees.  (7th Pay Commission)
 Meanwhile, the Pune Municipal Corporation has also issued orders to pay increased dearness allowance to its employees.  According to this order, the rate of admissible inflation allowance on basic pay in the revised pay structure as per Seventh Pay Commission should be increased from 42 to 46 percent with effect from July 1, 2023.  The Municipal Corporation has decided that the dearness allowance increase should be paid from the salary of November paid in December along with the arrears for the period of four months from 1st July 2023 to 31st October 2023.  Retired employees will be given 5 month difference from July to November of the revised rate from December paid in January pension.  (Dearness Allowance News)
 24 dearness allowance should be deducted from the salary bill of November paid in December while paying dearness allowance along with the difference, expenditure on these budgetary provisions.  Also, the cost of Inflation Allowance per month should be met from the salary provisions of the department.  For this, all Heads of Accounts and Assistant Commissioners have been asked to inform the servants under their control.
