 Commission for Scheduled Castes rebuked the Pune Municipal Commissioner again!

 |  Municipal Commissioner ordered to report within 15 days

 National Commission for Scheduled Castes | Promotion of Superintendent, Deputy Superintendent, Administration Officer and other posts in Clerical Cadre of Pune Municipal Corporation has been stopped.  Due to this there is dissatisfaction among municipal employees.  Fed up with the work of the municipal administration, some employees complained to the National Commission for Scheduled Castes of the Government of India.  The Commission has taken serious notice of this.  Also the Municipal Commissioner (PMC commissioner) was heard well.  The Commission had ordered the Municipal Commissioner to take proper action on this within 30 days.  But as there was no decision in this regard, the employees complained again.  So again the commission has reprimanded.  It has also been ordered to report within 15 days.  (National Commission for Scheduled Castes)
 The proposal for temporary promotion to the posts of “Superintendent”, Deputy Superintendent, (Class-3) and “Administrative Officer” (Class-II) in the Municipal Administrative Service cadre has been pending for the last several months.  A municipal employee had complained about this on May 25.  The National Commission for Scheduled Castes of the Government of India took immediate notice of this and sent a letter to the Municipal Commissioner on June 1.  The commission had said that the complaints filed by the employees proved that they were being treated unfairly.  Therefore, in accordance with the powers conferred on the Commission under Article 338 of the Constitution of India, we have decided to investigate.  It is hoped that this will be improved.  And the Commission will be informed about the action taken in this regard.  The commission had said that there is hope.  The commission had ordered the commissioner to take appropriate action and submit a statement to the commission within 30 days.  But as no action was taken in this regard, the employees again sent the letter on 26th June.  Accordingly, taking cognizance of this, the Commission has again reprimanded the Municipal Commissioner.  The Commission has ordered the Municipal Commissioner to send a report on the action taken in this regard.  (Pune Municipal Corporation)
