Maha Tender Portal | Various departments of the Municipal Corporation (PMC Pune) have not updated the tender information for the period 2019 to 2023 on the Mahatender portal. As a result, the contractor deposit is not credited to the account of the contractors who are disqualified in the tender process. Therefore, the contractors have to go around the municipal corporation frequently. The additional commissioner has pierced the ears of the head of the account. According to the orders of Municipal Additional Commissioner Ravindra Binwade (IAS Ravindra Binwade), tenders are implemented through the Mahatender portal of the Maharashtra Government for various development works through various departments of the Pune Municipal Corporation. All tender related information is published on Mahatender portal after opening of online trading envelope. After publication of tenders, it has been pointed out that the information of some tenders of various departments in the financial year 2019 to 2023 is not updated online on the AOC Mahatender portal. After completing the tender process through the Mahatender portal, due to the fact that the work order (AOC) for the relevant work is not updated on the portal, the tendered earnest money is not credited to the account of other than the eligible tenderers. In this regard, the ineligible tenderers are repeatedly complaining that the action for refunding the earnest money is not being done in time. (PMC Pune)

The order further states that every department of the Pune Municipal Corporation shall upload pending cases of advertised tenders, Order of Work (AOC) on the portal or update the current status of canceled tenders, re-tendered tenders on the portal. All account heads and tender writers were informed about this earlier. However, it appears that the said work is not being done on time. Unless the Award Of Contract process is done through the portal, the deposit amount of eligible (L1) contractors cannot be deposited in the head office of Pune Municipal Corporation and the deposit amount of all the remaining contractors cannot be returned to the relevant account head and the tender writer. Also, after opening the commercial envelope on the Mahatender portal, expedite the process of Award of Contract (AOC) and deposit the payment amount of the successful contractor.

All Account Heads should instruct all Tender Writers under them that the remaining amounts of all contractors will be refunded. Also, by all Account Heads of concerned Departments/Departments
Officials/Employees responsible for the above shall immediately submit tenders on the Mahatender portal The information must be conveyed by updating the Award of Contract (AOC). It is said in the order.
