PMC Employees DA Hike – (The Karbhari News Service) Union Cabinet has approved 4 percent increase in Dearness Allowance of Central Employees.  Now employees will get 50% dearness allowance.  This Dearness Allowance will be applicable from January 1, 2024.  It will be credited with salary at the end of March.  A total of two months of arrears will also be added to this.  On this line, the Pune Mahanagarpalika Kamgar Union has demanded to the Municipal Commissioner that revised dearness allowance should be applied to the PMC Employees and Officers and the difference should be given.  (Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC)

 According to the statement given by the President of the Workers’ Union, Uday Bhat to the Municipal Commissioner, the rate of dearness allowance has been revised from 46 percent to 50 percent from January 1, as per the office circular dated March 12 of the Government of India, Ministry of Finance, Department of Expenditure, North Block, New Delhi.  The increase has been notified through a circular.

 There is an agreement between the Pune Municipal Corporation and the Labor Union regarding the payment of Dearness Allowance to the officers/employees of the Pune Municipal Corporation as per the Central Government and there is a policy and prevailing procedure for the payment of Dearness Allowance as per the Central Government.

 However, the officers/employees of the Pune Municipal Corporation of Inflation Allowance as per the circular referred to  Revision of rate from 1st January to 50% from 46% paid in March, 2024  In April 2024, the concerned should be ordered to pay with the difference in salary.  The labor union has made such a demand.
