PMC Pune Transgender Employees |  25 PMC Transgender Employees have been inducted as contractual employees in the service of Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC).  With the aim of mainstreaming third-party persons, third-party persons have been employed on an experimental basis to protect the income of the Municipal Corporation. However, the problem of housing for these employees has not been solved. They are not given a house on rent in the city. Therefore, these employees will be provided flats from the Municipal Corporation’s Chal department. The proposal in this regard is  Security Officer Rakesh Vitkar (PMC Pune Transgender Employees) said that it will be kept for the approval of the Commissioner on behalf of the Security Department.

 The Municipal Corporation has given employment to the transgenders.  This includes PhD, MTech, B.Sc.  The said third parties have been appointed at places like Kamla Nehru Hospital, Vehicle Depot, Manpa Bhawan of Pune Municipal Corporation.  A public awareness campaign will be implemented to maintain harmony and social affection between municipal staff officers and third-class workers by forming a committee of charitable organizations working for the third-class class in the city.  In the future, it is resolved to bring people from the third class into the mainstream of the society and implement people-oriented activities for them and accordingly the action has been started.  (Pune Municipal Corporation News)

 In this regard, a review meeting of the transgenders employees working in the security department of the Pune Municipal Corporation was held recently.  In the review meeting, these third parties narrated their experience during the last eight months.  Accordingly, he also raised some difficulties.  Additional Municipal Commissioner Vikas Dhakne has announced to provide a separate ward for treatment at Kamla Nehru Hospital Mangalwar Peth on behalf of the Municipal Corporation.  Similarly, he mentioned that some third parties need medical help for hormone injections.  Similarly, they have demanded that all these third parties should get the flats available in the Chal sections of the Municipal Corporation for their accommodation.  Accordingly, the municipality is positive about providing flats.  The proposal in this regard will be placed before the Municipal Commissioner.
