PMC Pune JICA Project |  (Ganesh Mule) |  Under the National River Conservation Project, Pune Municipal Corporation has received a subsidy of 170 crores from the Central Government for this project (JICA project) to control the pollution of the Mula Mutha River in the city of Pune.   Meanwhile, Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC Pune) also has to deposit matching share (15%) in Single Nodal Account (SNA).  11 crores has been collected by the Municipal Corporation so far.  16 crore is yet to be deposited.  The proposal in this regard has been placed before the PMC standing committee.  (PMC Pune JICA Project)

 990.26 Crores project to control the pollution of Mula-Mutha river in Pune city under the National River Conservation Scheme (JICA project) has been approved by the River Conservation Directorate (NRCD) of the Central Government in 2016.  The project will be funded by the Central Government through the Japan International Co-Operation Agency (JICA).  For this, 85% of the project amount of 990.26 crores will be received from the central government and the remaining 15% will have to be spent by the Pune Municipal Corporation.  (PMC STP Plant)

 An amount of 120.74 crores has already been received from the central government in the form of subsidy under JICA project.  The State Government must deposit it in Single Nodal Account within 21 days and Pune Municipal Corporation’s matching share (15%) must be deposited in Single Nodal Account within 40 days.  Out of the amount received in the form of subsidy, 57.74 crore was received by the Pune Municipal Corporation before the Single Nodal Account became operational and after that Rs.  63 crores 15% matching share of Pune Municipal Corporation of total 120.74 crores deposited in Single Nodal Account.

 The municipal commissioner approved it.  Accordingly 15% share of 63 crores 11,11,76,471 has been deposited in Single Nodal Account  Single Nodal 15% matching share of the remaining Rs 57.74 crore received subsidy of Pune Municipal Corporation  The account is yet to be credited.  (Pune Municipal Corporation News)

 50 Crores have been disbursed for fifth tranche grant as per letter from Government of India, Ministry of Water Power on 29/03/2023.  Accordingly 15% matching share of Pune Municipal Corporation is eight crores

 Two eighty lakh thirty five thousand three hundred must be deposited in single nodal account.  A proposal in this regard has been placed before the standing committee by the municipal administration.  (PMC Pune  News)
