PMC Garden Department |  On the occasion of Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) Anniversary 42nd Fruits Flowers and Vegetables Competition and Exhibition is organized for 10th and 11th February 2024 at PMC Chhatrapati Sambhaji Garden J M Road.  The exhibition will be inaugurated on Saturday 10th February at 11.00 am by Vikram Kumar, Municipal Commissioner and Administrator, (Vikram Kumar IAS).  This information was given by Ashok Ghorpade PMC, Chief Park Superintendent of the Pune Municipal Corporation.  (PMC Garden Department)

 Arranging exhibitions of flowers, fruits, vegetables, trees or plants, as well as organizing such exhibitions  To assist private and public institutions to do and J. of trees and plants in human life  It is an important place.  Every year, Pune Municipal Council organizes such a meeting with the aim of forming a public opinion about it  An exhibition is organized.  (Pune PMC News)

 The exhibition has a total of 12 sections of different types and 216 sub-sections.  They include decorative flower pot arrangements, herb collection, rose flower arrangements, seasonal flowers, table decorations, different types of flowers, vegetables, salad decorations for women in self-help groups, fruits, processed vegetables, different types of garlands, bouquets, mussels.  , braids, gajres will be exhibited.  Seasonal as well as perennial flowers like different types of dahlia, orchid, anthurium, gerbera rose, carnation etc. are the major attraction in the exhibition.

 In this exhibition, replicas of different types of gardens will be prepared for viewing.  The prize distribution ceremony of the winners of the various competitions held on the occasion of the said exhibition will be held on February 11 at 5:00 PM at Chhatrapati Sambhajiraje Udyan, Jungli Maharaj Road, here.  has been organized.

 Mainly in this competition, Pune University, Metro, River Improvement Project, Solid Waste Management, NDA,

 CME, Forest Department, Pune Institute of Snake Science, Rajiv Gandhi Zoological Museum, Environment Centre, Pushkarni Uttara Environment Centre, Lonavala, Tilak Ayurveda College of Bonsai, Pimpri-Chinchwad  Municipal Corporation etc.  Departments/ Institutions will be participating.  The exhibition features bonsai, wood sculpture  Garden, paper craft, different types of flower arrangement etc.  Citizens will get to see.  Also  Plant my Vasundhara trees, save trees, maximize the use of bicycles, etc Concepts will be implemented.  A separate gallery will be kept for viewing the photographs.

 The exhibition has stalls selling flowers, fruits, tree seedlings, gardening materials, seeds, fertilizers  Citizens can buy various garden items/materials from 8.00 am to 8.30 pm on 10th and 11th February.  The exhibition is open to citizens free of cost Maximum number of citizens should benefit from this.  Ghorpade has made such an appeal.
