JICA Project is being implemented on behalf of Pune Municipal Corporation. Through this project, 11 sewage treatment centers will be constructed at various places in the city. The central government will provide 850 crore funds for this project worth 1100 crores. Out of which 170 crores have been given by the central government. The objective of this project is to prevent pollution of runoff from the city. Accordingly, the water will be purified and released into the river. Meanwhile, while purifying the water, the sludge that will remain after the treatment. The municipality is going to prepare fertilizer from it. Sludge Thickeners machinery will be used for that. This machine will be brought to Pune from Italy. A company called Lacto Fungai from Italy will provide this machine. Meanwhile, the municipal officials are going to leave for Italy in the next few days to inspect and inspect this machine. These include Additional Commissioner Ravindra Binwade and Jaika Project Head Jagadish Khanore. Meanwhile, all the expenses will be borne by the concerned company. Initially, the tour was going to be in China. However, the sources said that the plan to cancel the tour and go to Italy is due to the fact that the Corona epidemic there is not over yet.

Meanwhile, as the reach of this machine is large, it will be brought to India through a ship instead of an airplane. It was planned to bring this machine to India through the Red Sea.
