आशानगर येथील महापालिकेच्या पाण्याच्या टाकीच्या उद्घाटन प्रसंगी काँग्रेसचे कसब्याचे आमदार रविंद्र धंगेकर यांनी महापालिकेच्या पाणी पुरवठा विभागाचे मुख्य अभियंता नंदकिशोर जगताप यांना शिवीगाळ केल्याचा प्रकार समोर आला होता. त्याचा विरोध करण्यासाठी महापालिका अभियंता संघाच्या वतीने सोमवारी निषेध सभा घेण्यात आली. यावेळी अभियंता संघाचे कार्याध्यक्ष आणि नगर अभियंता प्रशांंत वाघमारे, सचिव सुनील कदम सह सचिव संजय पोळ, खजिनदारर केदार साठे, उपाध्यक्ष मुकुंद बर्वे यांच्यासह, पथ विभागाचे प्रमुख अनिरूध्द पावसकर, विद्युत विभागाचे मुख्य अभियंता श्रीनिवास कंदूल, प्रकल्प विभागाचे श्रीनीवास बोनाला, अतिक्रमण विभागाचे उपायुक्त माधव जगताप, पाणीपुरवठा विभागाचे मुख्य अभियंता नंदकिशोर जगताप आणि महापालिकेतील सर्व विभागांचे अभियंते उपस्थित होते.
राजकीय कार्यकर्ते तसेच पदाधिकार्‍यांकडून महापालिका अधिकार्‍यांना धमकावणे, शिवीगाळ करणे, धक्काबुक्की करणे असे प्रकार घडत आहे. या प्रकरणी एकाटया अधिकार्‍याने पोलिसांमध्ये तक्रार दिल्यास उलट अधिकार्‍याला त्रास होतो. त्यामुळे, भविष्यात असे प्रकार रोखण्यासाठी महापालिकेच्या विधी विभागाच्या माध्यमातून सेल तयार करून त्यांच्या माध्यमातून पोलिसात तक्रार करण्यात यावी अशी मागणी संघाच्या वतीने करण्यात आली. या मागणीचे निवेदन महापालिका आयुक्तांनाही देण्यात आले. तसेच, उद्घाटनाच्या कार्यक्रमाची जबाबदारी नगरसचिव विभागाकडे असून भविष्यात विभाग प्रमुखांवर हे काम दिले जाऊ नये. अशी मागणीही यावेळी करण्यात आली.
पुणे महापालिकेतील अतिक्रमण विभागातील (PMC Encroachment Department) अधिकाऱ्यांना काही दिवसांपूर्वी मारहाण करण्यात आली. याबाबत निषेध नोंदवण्यासाठी महापालिकेच्या सर्व कर्मचारी संघटना महापालिका भवनातील हिरवळीवर एकत्र आल्या होत्या. याआधी देखील कर्मचाऱ्यांना मारहाण अरेरावी करण्याच्या घटना घडल्या आहेत. यावर आळा घालण्यासाठी यावेळी चर्चा करण्यात आली होती.
भविष्यकाळात कुठल्याही कर्मचाऱ्याबाबत अशी घटना घडली तर सर्वांनी एकी दाखवणे आवश्यक आहे. त्या कर्मचाऱ्याला एकटे वाटते कामा नये. संबंधित विभाग तसेच विधी विभागातील वकिलांचे सहकार्य द्यायला हवे, असा सूर या चर्चेतून निघाला होता. त्यानंतर कर्मचारी आणि संघटनांनी महापालिका अतिरिक्त आयुक्त रविंद्र बिनवडे यांची भेट घेतली होती. यावेळी अतिरिक्त आयुक्तांनी आश्वासन दिले होते कि याबाबत एक धोरण तयार केले जाईल. त्यासाठी विधी विभागाचे सहकार्य घेतले जाणार आहे. कर्मचाऱ्यांना मारहाण हा मुद्दा महापालिकेशी सम्बंधित असतो. त्यामुळे याबाबत गंभीरपणे पाऊल उचलायला हवे आहे. मात्र या धोरणाबाबत पुढे काहीही झाले नाही. मात्र घटना घडतच आहेत. यावर महापालिका काही पाऊल उचलणार आहे का, असा प्रश्न या निमित्ताने उपस्थित होत आहे.
